Cap Digital is a founder of, or participates to, several major networks of clusters. These connections help Cap Digital to lobby for the digital contents sector at EU level and to encourage SMEs to build their European projects.
Our European Networks
Cap Digital joined the European Connected Health Alliance (ECHAlliance).
ECHAlliance was launched in 2012 from the merger of European mHealth Alliance (EuMHA) and the European Connected Health Campus (ECHCampus). This organization supports national and regional leaders to build permanent Connected Health Ecosystems to improve health and social care at the same time as creating economic benefits.
ECHAlliance is a nonprofit group that brings together people and organizations in the health, social care and wellbeing industry. Its goals are: the promotion of connected health, the development of connected health capabilities (to engage in collaborative research), the support of strategic marketing and business development needs of its members and the development of an international network of permanent Connected Health Ecosystem. The idea is to breakdown the silos, develop lasting collaborations, create better patient care at lower costs and driving economic growth.
ECHAlliance’s International Network connects more than twenty five Ecosystems across Europe and North America. On the Asian side: a sister organization have been created in China (China Connected Health Alliance). This Network combines knowledge, expertise and connections into a powerful force for change in health and social care.

EIT Digital is one of the first three Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) selected by the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) to accelerate innovation in Europe. EIT is an independent community body set up to address Europe’s innovation gap and aims to rapidly emerge as a key driver of EU’s sustainable growth and competitiveness through the stimulation of world-leading innovation.
EIT Digital’ goal is to bring more innovation to market in the domain of ICT.
To reach this goal it connects excellent European organizations in Education, Research and Industry to speed up innovation. So, EIT Digital breeds entrepreneurial ICT top talent by transforming higher education towards promoting innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.
By developing and applying catalysts, EIT Digital leverages on existing regional, national and EU-level funding instruments to speed up innovation in Europe. Its catalysts focus on integrating the three elements of the knowledge triangle Education, Research and Business.
EIT Digital has numerous co-location centres throughout Europe including one in Paris in which Cap Digital actively contributes. Our members can thus apply to EIT Digital funding and programs implemented.

Cap Digital is part of the EIT Health.
Two years ago the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) launched a call for proposal in the area of health ; the goal was to create strategic partnerships of higher education, business and research to boost innovation an tackle challenges in Europe.
Today, the EIT Health exists and aims to accelerate entrepreneurship, develop innovation in health living and active ageing, improve competitiveness of European industry and quality of life of European citizens and reinforce the sustainability of healthcare system. In order to fulfill these objectives, the consortium will deliver new products, services and concepts. EIT Health is one of the largest healthcare initiatives worldwide. Chosen by the EIT to form EIT Health, the consortium offers best-in-class research capabilities, higher education and business expertise. It is leveraging the expertise of more than 140 leading organizations spanning key areas of healthcare such as Pharma, MedTech, Payers, Research Institutions and Universities.
With a budget of 2 billion EUR over the next decade, it will purposefully invest in Europe’s best entrepreneurial talents and creative minds to foster the development and commercialization of smart product and service solutions in the health sector, addressing the challenges imposed by demographic change and ageing societies.
The EIT Health community has six co-location centers across Europe: Munich (headquarter), London, Stockholm, Barcelona, Paris, Heidelberg and Rotterdam.

The European Technological Platform NEM (New European Media) was established under the FP7 of the European Commission. This platform aims at representing the European creative industries. It embodies the convergence of existing and new technologies, including broadband, mobile & new media, creativity…, in order to create a new and exciting era of advanced personalized services. Improving the quality , enjoyment and value of the user experience is at the heart of NEM. A main goal is to empower end-users in creating their media and communication environments, including user-generated content, in which the quality of access to value added and creative content as well as services is the key enabling factor.
What is NEM exactly ? NEM is the voice of creative industries toward European decision makers. NEM is a community, a network, a summit, a vision, a strategic research agenda, position papers… . It gathers members from the industry sector (42%), universities (23%), research institutes (19%). 40% of the members have SME status. They come from all over Europe and beyond (Spain, Germany, UK, France, Italy, Brazil, Turkey, Russia…).
NEM is a cluster of clusters (iMinds, TWIST, Cap Digital, WAN IFRA, Frankfurt Book Fair, Madrid Network-Audio Visual Cluster…); a cluster of platforms (Europeana, FI-content experiments, ImaginLab…) and a cluster of projects (Eurotransmedia, SAM, REVEAL… 77+ active projects in DG Connect G1 & G2).
