This theme traverses all application themes within the Digital Content and Knowledge Creation domain. Digital lifestyles and services revolves around the users’ ability, individual or combined, in the application of audio-visual and new media, video games, digital heritage, knowledge engineering and education, covering experimentation, evaluation and user monitoring.
Experimental platforms, in vivo laboratories, with experiments focusing on innovative services and application monitoring within an unlimited geographical zone are structured to be open and reciprocal in nature for cluster partners.
These may incorporate one or all of the following.
- Mobility: portability, digital context, identity; accessible services on mobile devices such as on-the-move use in transport, travel, with enriched services for mobility, multi-media use and mobile electronic games.
- Social media, networks, communities, "Web 2.0", ascending innovations.
- New interfaces for bridging the digital gap: interfaces, social mediations and human and technical systems which support applications and reduce various forms of social gap.
They emphasize methodological projects for the analysis of applications: systems for analysis of social networks and innovative interfaces, and in particular, of systems that facilitate community building and living.
