What is Catapult?
Led by EIT Health, Catapult is a European training and competition program designed to accelerate the most promising startups in the life sciences and health tech sectors. The goal is to help well-structured young companies take their business to the next level by refining their strategy, strengthening their pitch, and connecting them with experts, industry leaders, and investors across Europe.
Throughout the program, the selected start-ups receive intensive mentoring to refine their business model, development plan, funding strategy, and investor pitch.
The program culminates in a final event held in late November during EIT Health’s landmark event, where finalists present their solutions to a large audience of experts and investors. Winners can receive up to €30,000 as well as in-kind prizes offered by the program’s sponsors. The People’s Choice Award also includes visibility on the Nasdaq Tower in New York.

Who is this program for?
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, companies must, in particular:
- Be a micro or small business with fewer than 50 employees;
- Operate in the life sciences or health tech sector;
- Be legally incorporated;
- Be based in an EU member state or a country associated with Horizon Europe;
- Demonstrate that they have raised at least €500,000 from private investors (Series A) or generated €500,000 in revenue in the previous year;
- Be seeking funding of at least €2 million;
- Have been established for less than 10 years;
- Submit their application in English.
